We are sure to have something for everyone. We offer a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

Amigos Days

Amigos DaysAmigos Days is a hands-on ministry of The United Methodist Church and People Helping People (a City of Dallas Housing Revitalization Program). We partner with inner-city Methodist Host Churches to repair and restore homes to make a positive difference in their neighborhoods.

Amigos DaysAmigos Days is a Dallas project that sends local church teams to areas affected by urban blight, one of Dallas’ major problems. Dallas is a city with crisis-level poverty, a declining median income and a housing stock that is in decay. The city’s goal is to reduce blight by 25%, and Amigos Daysis helping to make that goal possible.

The dates for Amigos Days 2017 are April 21-22 & 28-29.

Black Tie Dinner

2016 btd logoBlack Tie Dinner, Inc, is a non profit organization that raises funds for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender supportive organizations serving North Texas through a premier event of empowerment, education and entertainment in partnership with the community. BTD was begun in 1982 by some very dedicated people in the GLBT community of Dallas and has since grown to become the largest GLBT fundraising event of its kind in the nation. During the past 35 years, BTD has distributed over $15 million dollars to its national and local beneficiaries.

Northaven United Methodist Church is very honored to be counted in the group of local beneficiaries. The monies received from BTD have allowed Northaven to develop and host programs that further support social justice and diversity in our community.
